Find the LED Mask for your skin

Want to boost your beauty routine with a high-tech touch? While light therapy has long been reserved for the treatment rooms of beauty salons, you can now benefit from the powers of LEDs from the comfort of your bathroom. Find out how to choose the right LED mask for your needs.

All you need to know about LEDs for the face

Long reserved for the cabins of leading aesthetic medicine centers, dermatologists and beauty salons, LEDs are now within the reach of beauty addicts thanks to the arrival of LED masks. And this beauty-tech accessory is more popular than ever! Based on light therapy technology, LED masks use the photobiomodulation process.

This process consists of sending light energy to regenerate cells by penetrating the skin to reach the cell's energy center: the mitochondria. This triggers a biochemical reaction that reduces oxidative stress in the cell, the cause of cell ageing, loss of elasticity and skin inflammation, accelerating cell regeneration, slowing down skin ageing and helping skin regain its suppleness and firmness.

Understanding LED colors

Each LED mask can diffuse different LED colors and different wavelengths that will penetrate more or less deeply into the skin and thus have an effect on the epidermis, dermis or hypodermis.

  • The blue light stops at the epidermis and has a purifying effect (notably by destroying the bacteria responsible for imperfections).

  • Red light has anti-aging properties and penetrates to the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

  • Infrared light will penetrate right down to the circulation level to have an anti-inflammatory and regenerating action.

How do I use my LED mask?

While this beauty ritual can transform our skin and our routine, we reassure you that it's not necessary to indulge in a daily tête-à-tête with your LED mask to see results. Recommendations for use vary according to the LED mask and the desired effects, but it is generally recommended to carry out 2 to 4 sessions of 10 to 15 minutes per week.

For targeted action: the Gua Sha LED

Similar to an LED mask, the It's Lit LED Gua Sha Facial Massager Solaris combines red LED light with vibrations and heat (45°C). The LED light reduces wrinkles and stimulates collagen production, the vibrations stimulate microcirculation and relax muscles, and the heat eliminates toxins while soothing the skin. Thanks to its shape, it provides a targeted, personalized massage, gliding easily over specific areas of the face to sculpt cheekbones and smooth facial contours.
