Customer Reviews
I have long, fine, fairly straight hair and was looking for a hairbrush that would give me a little volume and shine: that's exactly what this brush does. I style my hair in the evening, and in the morning my hair is resolutely shiny and full of volume. It's worth noting that when my hair is a little dry, the brush accentuates the effect. But that's all the more reason to pamper my hair even more :) Concern:Restoring Shine
(redacted)
If I ever doubted the importance of having a good hairbrush in my routine, this one has completely changed my mind! It detangles perfectly and leaves hair really shiny and soft, which is really impressive. And its massaging effect... A real treat after a long day. Concern:Restoring Shine
Since I've been using it (about 1 week), I've already noticed results: my hair is shinier and softer, and I can space out my shampoos more (because it eliminates impurities well in the evening). For the effect on hair growth, I have to wait several weeks to give a definitive opinion. But, its massaging effect is very pleasant :-) Concern:Slowing down hair loss
What are the benefits of La Bonne Brosse boar bristle brushes?
La Bonne Brosse is convinced that beautiful hair starts with the right beauty gesture, and that brushing can revolutionize your hair, provided you're equipped with the right brush! That's why the accessories brand has developed hair brushes that care for our scalps and lengths. With their boar bristle composition, La Bonne Brosse hair brushes hairbrushes are the perfect ally for caring for our hair. Known to be an exact mirror of our hair's structure and loaded with keratin, boar bristles reduce the amount of sebum at the roots, distributing it throughout the lengths and nourishing the ends. 100% natural, they also help neutralize static electricity present on our hair when brushed. Combining high quality and impressive longevity, they are the perfect hair accessories for softer, more disciplined hair that's easier to detangle, shinier and less brittle.
How often should you clean your La Bonne Brosse brush?
There are no real rules as to how often you should clean your boar bristle brush: it all depends on how quickly it gets dirty, depending on the styling products you use on a daily basis. Note also that, because of their bristle density, boar bristle brushes tend to retain more dust, greasy substances and other impurities than conventional wood-pin brushes. However, to keep your hair healthy and strong, as well as prolonging the life of your brush and making it easier to clean when the time comes, we recommend that you remove dead hair by hand after each use. This will allow you to remove impurities and other dirt that may have accumulated on the bristles of your brush and threaten to spread to your lengths with each brushing.
How do you clean your boar bristle brush?
To clean your brush, start by using a comb to remove hair and other dust that may be trapped between the bristles and pins. The comb helps to avoid pulling too hard on the bristles, while scraping away any dust that may have settled on the brush's air cushion. Once a month, you can use a mild shampoo or a damp cloth to clean your brush more thoroughly. Run your cloth between each bristle to remove any dust and impurities that may be trapped inside, then let your brush air dry, bristles still facing down. Be careful not to soak your boar bristle hairbrush completely in water, to preserve the quality of its follicles.
