Rendez-vous with… Kimberley Cohen

Kimberley Cohen, artistic director and co-founder of Les Maisons Pariente, leads a busy life of travel, work and projects. She welcomes us into her home today to reveal her beauty routine!

For me beauty is very subjective. It’s something that creates an emotion, something authentic, natural and simple.

Hello Kimberley, can you tell us who you are and what you do?

My name is Kimberley Cohen, I’m 33 and I’m the artistic director and co-founder of Maisons Pariente. Maisons Pariente is a collection of luxury hotels that feel more like private houses; exceptional places where each visitor can feel at home. We created the collection of hotels with my sister and my father so as to be able to develop our own idea of hospitality. We see it as an art to receive guests as if they were coming into a home, where the service is of the highest quality, yet personal and without pretension.

How would you describe your skin?

My skin is quite dry on a daily basis. I'm also starting to look at the signs of aging because it's true that at 33, you have to start preparing for the future ;-)

Do you have a specific beauty routine?

I travel a huge amount for my work and it’s pretty tiring. To keep my skin looking healthy I need a good routine that helps me to look fresh in the morning and won’t let me down

What do you do first thing in the morning?

An important step in any skincare protocol is the cleansing of the face, which I start with Cleansing Oil Pai Skincare that I discovered at Oh My Cream and which is really exceptional for its moisturizing effect. I also use the Regenerating Cleanser Tata Harper which acts as an exfoliant, a micro-scrub. After cleansing my skin, I like to use theFloral Essence Tata Harper which is based on hyaluronic acid and gives my skin a boost. An essential part of my routine, the Vital Eye Cream Nuori that I apply both around the eyes and also around the mouth, an area not to be neglected :) . My day cream is the Rich Cream Tata Harper. Finally, when I have a little more time and to give my skin an extra boost of moisture, I apply the Renaissance Mask Oskia.

And in the evening?

In the evening, I usually apply a cream that is even richer that I recently discovered at Oh My Cream: the Rich Cream Augustinus Bader. It smells great and immediately you feel your skin really plumped up!

Is there a brand that you particularly like?

I am a big fan of Tata HarperIt is for this reason that I work with them in my hotels and that I have implemented them in the spa of Lou Pinet and Le Coucou in Méribel.

A handy tip that you would like to share?

I have a real grandmother’s tip that I love which is to use pure vitamin E that you can buy at the chemist or in organic stores. I use it in the evening when I feel like my skin is really pulling. It’s not very glamorous as it leaves your skin all shiny and a bit slippery but it really hydrates deep down.

And finally, what is your vision of beauty?

For me beauty is very subjective. It’s about something that creates an emotion, so it could be a place or a person. In my job I create hotels so I need to be able to adapt spaces. It’s about authenticity and a certain simplicity, things that are natural. Beauty creates an emotion and makes people react.
