An appointment with... Kimberley Cohen
Kimberley Cohen, artistic director and co-founder of Maisons Pariente, leads a busy life of travel, work and projects... Today she welcomes us into her home to reveal her beauty routine!
In my opinion, beauty is a very subjective concept; it's something that generates an emotion in you above all else. It's authenticity, naturalness, simplicity.
Hello Kimberley, what do you do for a living?
I'm Kimberley Cohen, 33, artistic director and co-founder of Maisons Pariente. Maisons Pariente is a collection of luxury hotels, designed as private homes with exceptional locations where each guest feels truly at home. We created this collection of hotels with my sister and father so that we could showcase our vision of the hotel business, which is the art of welcoming guests as if they were at home, with a focus on quality service but without fuss and always with an ultra-personal touch.
How would you describe your skin?
My skin is quite dry on a daily basis. I'm also starting to look at the signs of ageing because it's true that at 33, you have to start preparing for the future ;-)
Do you have a particular routine?
It's true that I travel a lot for my work, which is pretty tiring so to keep a healthy glow, I have a routine that helps me look fresh first thing in the morning and that I can rely on.
Your morning beauty routine?
An important step in any skincare protocol is facial cleansing, which I begin with Cleansing Oil Pai Skincare which I discovered at Oh My Cream and which is truly exceptional for its moisturizing effect. I also use the Regenerating Cleanser Tata Harper which acts as an exfoliant, a micro-scrub. After cleansing, I like to use theFloral Essence Tata Harper which contains hyaluronic acid and gives my skin a boost. An essential part of my routine, the Vital Eye Cream Nuori which I apply both around the eyes and also around the mouth, an area not to be neglected :) . My day cream is Crème Riche Tata Harper. Finally, when I have a little more time and want to give my skin an extra boost of moisture, I apply the Renaissance Mask Oskia.
And in the evening?
In the evening, I usually apply an even richer cream that I recently discovered at Oh My Cream: the Rich Cream Augustinus Bader. It smells great and immediately makes your skin feel really plumped up!
Do you have a favorite brand?
I'm a big fan of their products Tata HarperThat 's why I work with them in my hotels, and why I've added them to the spa at Lou Pinet and Le Coucou in Méribel.
Do you have a tip for us?
I have a little grandmother's remedy that I love to apply, it's pure Vitamin E, which you can buy in pharmacies or organic stores. I use it in the evening when my skin feels tight, as it deeply nourishes it.
And finally, what is your vision of beauty?
In my opinion, beauty is a very subjective concept: it's something that generates an emotion in you first and foremost, so it could be a place or a person... It's true that in my job, I have to conceptualize places, hotels and venues, so I really have to know how to adapt. It's about authenticity, naturalness and simplicity. It's about creating an emotion and releasing something.
