A healthy, gourmet picnic...
Picnics are a great way to get together and enjoy the good weather! Although the tablecloth replaces the dining table and the chairs are swapped for cushions, there are certain principles to keep in mind to maintain a balanced diet and good digestion. Aurélie Canzoneri gives us her advice.
A few variations on raw vegetables for starters...
-
Carrot or cucumber sticks served with hummus or a miso, linseed oil and sesame-based sauce.
- A salad of finely chopped without forgetting the aromatic herbs that add flavour will add flavour and improve digestion.
- Vegetarian spring rolls with salad, mint and crudités. crudités.
- A vegetable juice or smoothie according to your mood and the season.
Avoid snacking by preparing the main course in advance
Picnics are often synonymous with snacking... But as we all know, this does nothing to promote good digestion. To avoid falling into this trap, the poké bowl can be a good idea ! For the composition of your poké bowl, you can choose quinoa or rice, lightly cooked vegetables to which you add sprouted seeds, avocado, a little feta cheese and olive oil. For animal proteins, opt for soft-boiled eggs, chicken or fish, and for vegetable proteins, legumes such as chickpeas, kidney beans or lentils.
Unthinkable to imagine a picnic without bread? On Aurélie's website you'll find a gluten-free version of bread.
If you want to finish your picnic on a sweet note, prefer cooked fruit in the form of compotes and keep raw fruit out of meals.
Don't forget to stay hydrated
For drinking, nothing beats... spring water or water with a low mineral content while It's best to drink plenty before a meal, little during it, and wait at least 1 hour after eating to avoid diluting the digestive juices. You can also flavour it with a few drops of lemon and mint or basil leaves.
