Why use a face mask?

Introducing a face mask into your beauty routine is an excellent way to pamper your skin, whatever its type. Whether you simply want to moisturize, give your skin an express radiance boost or purify it, a face mask is an ultra-targeted essential to meet your current needs. While the moisturizing mask in particular has a long-standing reputation, there are now a multitude of face masks with clean, cutting-edge formulas capable of solving several skin problems at once. Looking for radiance, soothing, purifying or a boost for visibly younger-looking skin? We have a wide selection of products to meet every need. In fact, don't hesitate to take a look at our 5 favorite masks

What type of face mask should I choose?

Your choice of face mask will obviously depend not only on your specific problem, but also on your skin type and its degree of sensitivity. You have no particular concerns, or on the contrary, your skin is dehydrated? There's nothing better than a moisturizing face mask, an essential in your bathroom! The Nuori moisturizing mask particularly won us over... As a general rule, we recommend those with a hyaluronic acid base, the most formidable active ingredient as it is capable of retaining 1000 times its weight in water. For skin prone to imperfections, we recommend ingredients such as tea tree, charcoal, sulfur or mint extracts, which attenuate imperfections while boosting tissue repair to avoid post-blemish marks. For mature skin, antioxidants, peptides or hyaluronic acid will be your allies in giving the skin a boost, while filling in wrinkles and fading any pigmentation spots. If you simply want to restore your skin's radiance, opt for exfoliating masks based on fruit acids, enzymes or glycolic acid.

Redness mask for sensitive skin: how to choose?

When it comes to sensitive skin, it's essential to choose the right face mask according to your degree of sensitivity. In fact, for skin prone to overheating or irritation, leading inevitably to redness, it's best to choose a soothing mask that's neither too powerful nor too stimulating. Honey, calendula and arnica are just some of the ingredients to look for in a redness mask. But don't worry: having sensitive skin and redness doesn't mean you can't deal with your other beauty concerns. Need to revitalize a dull complexion? Go for gentle exfoliating masks like Resurfacing Mask. Tata Harper. Blemishes and blackheads? Opt for a purifying redness-sensitive skin mask based on manuka, an antibacterial, antiseptic and super-moisturizing active ingredient! You'll find this star active ingredient in Aura Manuka mask by Antipodes

How often should I use a face mask?

Ideally, you should apply your face mask 1 or 2 times a week. For certain sensitive-skin masks, such as the Susanne KaufmannSoothing Mask, you can even leave your mask on overnight. However, don't forget to follow the essential steps before applying your mask. A cleansed and exfoliated skin will react better to the active ingredients in your mask.
