Face Taping: a natural facelift to reduce the signs of aging
It's a trend that's had the beauty world on tenterhooks, yet has proven its effectiveness: face taping. As you've no doubt noticed, Lyfta lifting patches have been appearing on our shelves for several months now, giving us the opportunity to take a closer look at this natural lifting method and its benefits.
How does it work?
Lifting bands target expression wrinkles caused by facial movements, and act indirectly on static wrinkles caused by skin aging. They mainly freeze the top layer of skin. Like a massage, each movement moves the tissues underneath to generate permanent stimulation and improve muscle tone by eliminating tension. They work to :
-
Smooth wrinkles by lightly "pulling" the skin to reduce creases in areas such as the forehead, crow's feet or nasolabial folds.
-
Stimulate blood and lymph circulation to help decongest the face, especially the cheeks and jawline.
-
Support muscles by promoting a relaxed muscular posture and preventing certain tensions responsible for expression lines.
How do I use lifting patches?
Face Taping is a simple method that requires precise and regular application to maximize its benefits:
Step 1: Prepare your skin by making sure it's clean and dry before applying the strips. If you have applied a moisturizing cream, wait about fifteen minutes before applying the patches.
Step 2: Apply the strips to the targeted areas, following the facial muscles. Apply the strips gently, without pulling on the skin.
Step 3: Leave the patches on overnight, then remove them gently to avoid the risk of irritation.
Step 4 : Apply your usual skincare routine to moisturize and soothe your skin.
This technique is best performed in the evening, before bedtime, to maximize application time, and of course on cleansed, moisturized skin. You can also leave the patches on during the day for a minimum of 1h30 before removing them.
Be careful, however, not to perform more than two or three Face Taping sessions per week, to allow your skin to rest.
