Our history Dermalogica story began in 1983, when Jane Wurwand, a beautician who had recently moved to the United States, started looking for a job. She soon realized that there was a real lack of training in the world of cosmetics, and decided to create theInternational Dermal Institute.

Its goal: to offer training courses for $10, covering a wide range of subjects, from treatment protocols to how to set up a business. As the months went by, she realized that none of the products corresponded to her vision, or to the needs of her students. So, with the help of a laboratory, Jane set about developing clean, highly technical formulas. Dermalogica was born. Since its creation, the brand has expanded internationally, and is now present in nearly 100 countries worldwide.
