Oily roots and dry ends: what to do?
Whether temporary or permanent, this hair problem can be a real headache... Fortunately, there are solutions to help us regain control of our mane! So how do you avoid a flattened root effect and starving lengths and ends? We'll tell you everything you need to get your hair back in shape right here!
Pre-shampoo oil remedy
Moska Aceite Scalp Remedy Oil Ceremonia
It's one of those gestures that changes everything! A few drops of this root treatment oil instantly soothes itchy scalps prone to redness and/or flaking, while strengthening lengths and promoting shine. That's right, repeated scratching excites the sebaceous glands - a vicious circle we're finally going to be able to break... And this little vial also stimulates hair growth!
A repairing mask to nourish lengths and ends
Vegan Hydration Mask Masque Hydratant Cut by Fred
It's one one of our favorite masks for light nourishment and light, light hair! Once a week, we allow ourselves a few extra minutes by generously coating lengths and ends with this mask based on natural ingredients (coconut oil, coconut and sweet almond), to replenish the hair fiber. Rinse thoroughly, preferably with lukewarm water, to avoid upsetting the delicate balance of the sebaceous glands.
The gesture that changes everything? The Good Brush!
Brosse N°03 l'Indispensable Sensitive Scalp The right brush
It's the perfect way to treat yourself to a moment of self-massage while boosting your hair routine. Its boar bristles distribute sebum more evenly over the entire length of the hair, helping to reduce the amount of sebum at the roots and nourish the ends. What's more, with its ball nylons, it brings moisture and shine to hair, while detangling and caring for sensitive scalps, for sheathed, fortified hair and a purified, detoxified scalp.
DOs
- Just before a party, a little dry shampoo (such as Voluminous Dry Shampoo Rahua) will help keep roots well unstuck. You can also use it to style your hair, as it makes it easier to grip the clips.
- Brushing hair upside down improves circulation, distributes sebum to the ends and boosts volume.
- It's best to shampoo only the base of the head: there's no need to rub the lengths frantically, as they'll benefit from the shampoo when you rinse it off.
DON'T
- Making buns too tight or wearing hats and caps frequently suffocates the scalp.
- Drying hair too hot and too close to the scalp increases sebum production.
- Use water that is too hot for rinsing: lukewarm water is the best option.
