Meet Delphine Plisson, founder of Maison Plisson

Founded in 2015, Maison Plisson is an e-commerce site for quality food products, two French cuisine restaurants and two delicatessens located in the 1st and 3rd arrondissements. We met its founder, Delphine Plisson, with whom we spoke about gastronomy, food and beauty. 

Hello Delphine! Could you tell us the history of Maison Plisson?

I founded the Plisson House seven years ago. It is a place of life entirely dedicated to pleasure and good sense in daily food. My role on a daily basis is to be the conductor of the orchestra. There are the restaurants and the bakery. When I arrive in the morning, my pleasure is to be able to say hello to the bakers, the cooks, all those who prepare the stores, the greengrocers, the cheesemakers, the butchers, the wine merchants. It's like a play! The products have to be ready, the kitchen has to be set up, the bread has to smell good... It allows me to taste everything and it's pretty cool!

What do you like most about your job?

The people in general, the suppliers thanks to whom we can offer 7,000 marvellous artisanal products, the Plisson team, 150 passionate people, whom I love very much, and of course all our customers who trust us every day. 

What is the mission of Maison Plisson?

I would say that on a daily basis our mission is to ensure that our daily food is natural, as close as possible to the season, while respecting the know-how and organoleptic qualities of the products. Therefore, when we eat well, we see the impact on our skin. It can only complete a good daily beauty routine!

How would you describe your skin?

I have normal skin for a 50 year old woman. I try to keep it moisturised, radiant, toned, respecting the energy that I have. 

Could you describe your skin care routine? 

In the evening, when I get home from work, I'm a bit obsessed with cleansing. For my face, I use theCleansing Oil Oh My Cream Skincare which I emulsify with warm water before rinsing with the Cleansing Gel Susanne Kaufmann which I really like the scent of. Then in the evening, I use the Hyaluronic Acid Serum Barbara Sturm mixed with a few drops ofAnti-Aging Face Oil Augustinus Bader. I have the impression and the feeling that my skin is plumped up. When I have a little more time, I take the opportunity to cleanse my skin thoroughly and moisturize it well. In general, once a week, I use the Rose Bioactive Scrub Odacité which has a texture that I really like. It's super clean thanks to its push system that allows you to have only the amount of product you need. You can keep it on for just a few minutes for an exfoliating effect or let it dry before rubbing it in with your fingers for a little more exfoliating effect. Plus, it has a light rose scent that I really like!

And finally, what is your favourite product?

The product that I particularly like is the Rose Water Mist Susanne Kaufmann which is a product I discovered a few weeks ago, that I am totally addicted to. I use it all the time, in the morning and evening after cleansing my skin, at any time of the day and especially in the summer. I find it to be an extremely pleasant product. It's my favorite product if I had to choose just one!
