We tested it for you: 3 techniques to take care of your body all year round!
At Oh My Cream, we don't advocate the diktat of thinness at all costs. So when we came up with this new theme, "Bien dans son corps", we wanted it to live up to our philosophy and our words: a caring subject, with tips to help you/us find harmony and peace between our bodies and minds. Far from yet another anxiety-inducing post (a la "summer body goal"), the techniques we share with you are delivered with gentleness and generosity, values that have accompanied us since the beginning of the OMC adventure.
Electrostimulation at Esteemby Ellie
As someone who is angry with my body, conventional gyms can quickly become a source of anxiety.. But writing this article has inspired me to seek out a more intimate studio, with real values and a holistic vision of well-being. a holistic vision of well-being. That's how I discovered Esteem.
What is Esteem?
Forget everything you know about traditional sports clubs: Esteem offers a new vision of sport and well-being, with the following watchwords self-fulfilment and self-esteem.
On the program:
- A fitness studioA fitness studio offering electrostimulation sessions, private coaching, group classes (boxing, circuit training, pilates, stretching and yoga)... and even classes for children (in groups of 6)!
- Wellness treatmentsOur wellness treatments include a traditional sauna, a "Vital Dome" sauna, customized massages (relaxing, energizing, firming, sports), foot reflexology sessions, LPG and kobido facials.
- Nutricosmeticswith a selection of dietary supplements and a juice bar
A new vision of the sports club
The studio's philosophy and credo? To give everyone the keys to feeling good about their bodies and coming back to themselves. Surpassing yourself, of course, but with kindness. We help you achieve your physical goals, but also rediscover your inner harmony. It's for this very reason that the formula goes beyond traditional sports classesThat's why the formula doesn't just offer traditional sports classes, which you might find in other clubs, but also a genuine "well-being" package.
To test the concept, Sophie suggested I do a few "Miha Bodytec" electrostimulation sessions in private coaching with the sparkling Lison, followed by foot reflexology sessions (a first for me!), and a kobido facial, with the gentle Fabienne. Enough to fully appreciate all the facets of this concept.
Electrostimulation
A few days later, I start my electrostimulation class. Here.., there's no need to bring gym clothesI arrive in my street clothes, and Lison provides me with my specific outfit for the machine. Once dressed, I enter a small room where I'll be alone for the class, and put on a humid vest, armbands, a belt for the buttocks and thighs, all connected with electrodes to a machine.
After adjusting the intensity of the "stimulations" I'll be receiving throughout the session, I begin to follow the movements indicated by my coach, which at first glance seem rather simple, but in the end turn out to be quite strenuous, because the principle of the electrodes is to amplify muscular contraction with an electrical impulse that complements the natural contraction linked to the various movements. Movements follow one another on each part of the body, with varying degrees of difficulty, and Lison tells me that we now have 3 minutes left for cardio. I can tell you I was VERY happy when the 3 minutes were up ;)
I leave this first session with a smile on my face, because I've surpassed myself and my coach was able to challenge me. I also know that a treatment is waiting for me, to soothe me after the effort, and this time it'll be foot reflexology. I'll tell you all about it in a future post ;)
The results
In just 2 sessions of electrostimulation, I can already see my abs and buttocks taking shape, but above all my self-esteem has been boosted. In fact, I'm resuming sport alongside my coaching classes with Lison, because I feel motivated to go further. I'll definitely be signing up for new sessions as soon as the confinement is lifted. Finally, beyond visible results, it's also about meeting new people and falling in love with a gentle, caring team who help me find a better balance in my life.

Pressotherapy at La Suite Coaching Clubby Fanny
It's been 3 months now since I "invested" in a home trainer (twice a week), for muscle-strengthening sessions. It's great: above all, it helps me to be regular and not skip sport because I'm "lazy". But I don't do much cardio and above all, I don't have all the right equipment at home (treadmill, ball, weights...), so a friend of mine warmly recommended that I try out the Suite Coaching Club, which also has an area dedicated to pressotherapy. Go for it!
What is the Suite?
At first glance, La Suite looks like a traditional gym: a large open space with machines, dumbbells and workout accessories. Except that here, you train one-to-one with a coach (or in a very small group), and with a personalized personalized approach to training and recovery.
On the program:
- Personalized coaching sessions of one hour
- Two recovery techniques at the end of the session: pressotherapy (compression boots for lymphatic drainage) and photobiomodulation (to treat the body using light).
- A self-service self-service
- And even osteopathy sessions by appointment with the brilliant Priscillia Corchia
Pressotherapy
At the end of my personalized coaching session with Sacha Lévy - co-founder of the site and trained sports coach - where I did a series of sheathing exercises, burpees, squats, ropes and treadmills, I had well deserved my half-hour recovery time... It starts right at the end of the session in the training room, when the coach massages our back muscles with a pistol. Then it's off to a small cabin in the basement where I put on my compression boots for 20 minutes of relaxation. The machine works by itself, exerting upward upward pressure on your legs at regular intervals. The primary objective of this tool is really the muscle recoverybut it also helps to eliminate toxins and relieve circulation problems (heavy legs, oedema and lymphoedema, varicose veins...) and to improve skin appearance.
The results
I loved my coaching session with Sacha! An intense session that was really adapted to my needs and above all very varied (renfo and cardio), which enabled me to work all areas of the body with the equipment available. The coach is really 100% dedicatedThe coach is really dedicated, listens to you and encourages you to push yourself. Finally, I found it great to be able to combine my session with pressotherapy and 10min of hammam, a real comfort after the effort! And you come out of this moment for yourself, in great shape, with light legs and feeling good about yourself. I've already booked my next session ;)

The infrared sauna at Belleyme Parisby Fanny
Since I had the opportunity to practice infrared yoga in Los Angeles (at Y7 studio) and Paris (at Yuj Yoga), red heat has become my new passion! I'd tested the Iyashi dome (Japanese sauna) a few months ago and loved it, so I couldn't wait to discover the one at Belleyme Paris, a trendy new wellness coffee in the Maraisjust a stone's throw from where I live.
What is Belleyme Paris?
Belleyme Paris brings together everything you love about pampering in one place:
- A café section with hot and cold drinks, smoothies and gluten-free pastries made with superfoods.
- Two infrared sauna cabins (for two people), each with its own shower area.
- A "shop" area with a selection of dietary supplements and beauty food (adaptogen-based powders, collagen-based chocolates, tonics and beauty elixirs...).
The infrared sauna
The special feature of Belleyme saunas is their infrared heating system. Harmless, beneficial to health and totally natural, these are waves whose frequency is lower than that of light and therefore not visible to the naked eye. These infrared rays penetrate deep into the tissues and the body directly, unlike a conventional sauna with stove-top heat that warms the surrounding air. This implies a lower temperature, enabling longer sessions. Sweating is more intense, as is body and skin purification and skin by eliminating toxins and heavy metals.
The results
After drinking my matcha maca and eyeing the Depurativa boxes of collagen chocolates, it's off to 50min of self-care (including 30min of sauna)! You sit on a wooden bench in the small cabin, where gentle heat immediately soothes and relaxes your muscles. that immediately soothes and relaxes muscles and joints. After a few minutes, you start to sweat gently, and take the opportunity to close your eyes and meditate! As well as detoxifying my body and skin (infrared heat stimulates collagen production and cell renewal), I also feel really good and relaxed. After the session, showered and exfoliated (I'd brought a few Oh My Cream products with me), you really feel less stressed and sleep better for the days ahead! A must-try!)
