Tell us all about yourself

"My name is Laure Dary, professional dancer and founder of Maison Of(f) Wellness, an online studio dedicated to conscious movement and well-being. My career has always been guided by the body, first through dance, then through a more holistic approach to movement as a tool for balance. I have been fortunate to nurture my passion for movement with highly inspiring teachers and choreographers."

"Today, in addition to my studio, I work as a consultant and wellness expert for luxury hotels and major brands, for whom I design tailor-made events and/or assist them in developing and implementing their wellness offerings. I am committed to sharing a vision that connects the body, mind, and creativity."

Did you always know you would be a dancer?

“Yes, very early on. Dance has always been a natural choice for me, a way of expressing myself even before I knew how to talk about my emotions. It’s my first language. Over time, this passion has turned into a real discipline, but it has always retained that instinctive, free dimension. It’s my greatest reference point; when I return to the barre, it’s like coming home. It's an extremely demanding passion, but I feel very privileged to have had the chance to make it my profession, and I'm very attached to the way dance has shaped me and still carries me today in terms of precision, a taste for effort, the way I present myself, and of course creativity."

How did the transition to Pilates, Barre, and Yoga happen?

“It happened naturally. After years of intense work on stage and in the studio, I felt the need to listen to my body in a different way. Pilates, yoga, and barre were natural extensions of my dance practice: disciplines that refine body awareness, alignment, breathing, and presence. These methods taught me to listen to my body even more closely, to gain strength while cultivating gentleness. After training in the various disciplines I offer, I began teaching in a very natural way, almost as if it were obvious."

How have these practices shaped who you are today?

“They taught me patience, consistency, and acceptance. Dance shaped me, but these practices brought me peace. I understood that performance doesn't come from tension, but from fluidity. They also reconnected me to my intuition, to the idea that every day, our bodies tell us something different, and that listening is the key.”

Tell us about your vision of well-being.

“For me, well-being is harmony between the inside and the outside. It's not about striving for perfection, but rather seeking balance. Moving, breathing, eating well, surrounding yourself with beauty, calm, nature... It's a whole way of life.
I firmly believe that movement is a form of self-care, just like a beauty routine or a good night's sleep."

Have you always taken care of yourself?

“Yes and no, at least not always in the right way. I’ve always been aware that my body is my working tool and that I need to take care of it, but I’ve also often mistreated it to make it fit into specific categories. I’ve done a lot of scenes, so I’ve put a lot of strain on my skin and hair. Makeup, styling tools, and hairspray are unforgiving, but I quickly realized that I had to take the best possible care of myself after performances and on my days off. I was lucky to meet some great makeup artists during my career who gave me excellent advice, and my dancer friends and I also shared our best tips.

I think back to one of my last tours, where my friend and colleague Aurelie Seriné, now a naturopath, and I talked a lot about beauty and well-being. She shares some of her valuable advice on Maison Of(f) Wellness. Today, my vision of beauty is much more sensory and intuitive. It involves healthy skin, physical energy, and a bright gaze. I like the idea of beauty that comes from within, through small, regular gestures.

What are your bathroom essentials?

“I stick to a simple and effective routine, but I still have a few essentials.

For makeup removal, I alternate betweenOdenCleansing Makeup Remover OilandAlaena Cleansing Oil  , and Oh My Cream Skincare by Oh My Cream Skincare, and Skin Cloud by Mimétique. In the evening, I also use the Regenerating Cleanser by Tata Harper, which is incredible as soon as the complexion starts to look dull.

When it comes to serums, I prefer those rich in vitamin C. Right now, I'm usingÉclat Anti-tachesHolidermie, which I think is really great: it evens out the complexion and makes the skin more radiant. I alternate it with Skin Revive by Mimétique , which is also great.

For the cream, I like Skin Restore by Mimétique, which plumps, firms, and nourishes, as well as Multi-Corrective Regenerating Cream Firn.

A good eye contour cream is also essential: CTRL Eye by Mimétique in the morning, and Brightening Eye Gel Tata Harper which I always keep in my bag to refresh my eyes during the day.

In winter, twice a week in the evening, I add Alaena Fruit Acid Peel . And of course, I apply SPF protection every morning. One of my favorites isOdacité's 100% mineral sunscreen fromOdacité. I'm also a big fan of Nooance LED maskand Lightinderm : by using them regularly, I've really seen a difference in my skin's radiance."

Beyond cosmetics, what are your favorite self-care rituals?

“I love massages, especially lymphatic drainage massages that loosen up and lighten the legs and release the tension accumulated during training and filming. I also often do deep tissue massages for recovery.

Cryotherapy cryotherapy is also one of my allies: the cold helps me recover, boost circulation, and soothe my body after intense periods."

What is the one thing or ritual that has really changed the way you take care of yourself?

“Breathing. It is such a powerful tool, yet often overlooked. Breathing fully and consciously transforms movement, posture, skin, and mind. It is a universal key to well-being.”

Tell us about Maison Of(f) Wellness

“Maison Of(f) Wellness was born out of my desire to make movement accessible in a different way, more sensory, more intelligent, and also more delicate. Each class is designed as a complete experience: precise physical work, but also an exploration of breath, posture, and presence. The platform reflects this philosophy: a digital space that exudes calm and precision of movement. You enter as you would a studio, but you leave with a peaceful mind.

I really imagined it as a studio that you can take with you everywhere, offering courses and advice from experts on various topics such as naturopathy and self-massage. This year, we are already celebrating our 5th anniversary with more than 600 courses, 30 programs available, and thousands of satisfied users!

I don't know if I would say that the classes are unique, but what I do know is that I try to convey my passion and precision so that the energy comes across beyond the screen, and that's often one of the things my clients tell me that makes me happiest.

With Maison Of(f) Wellness, you encourage people to diversify their sporting activities. Why was that important to you?

“I have always loved exploring lots of different disciplines. Dance made me curious about everything, and I tried so many things... I wanted to understand what each one awakened in me. And I realized that I felt much better not by choosing a single path, but by combining them. This vision was also nourished by everything I was lucky enough to learn throughout my journey, my training, and my exchanges with my father, a physical therapist, who gave me a real understanding of the body, its supports, its fragilities, and its potential.

With Maison Of(f) Wellness, I wanted to share this expertise and heritage: to pass on everything I have learned, experienced, and felt, and make it tangible for the people who practice with me by offering them the five disciplines that allow me to keep my body and mind strong and flexible: Pilates, yoga, barre, stretching, and of course Shapes in Motion, which I personally developed to break out of the box and offer classes that combine yoga, Pilates, and the technical work of a dancer.

Because no single discipline is enough on its own. Variety is what awakens the body in different ways. Yoga soothes, barre structures, Pilates strengthens, stretching liberates... we could define it that way, but for me, there is much more to each of them than that! Together, these practices build a complete, lively, intelligent body.

How do you manage to stay motivated?

“I prefer to talk about discipline rather than motivation. For me, it's not a chore, it's a commitment. Unrolling my mat, even for ten minutes, even without going "all out," is my way of taking care of myself, refocusing, and breathing better. It's through this regularity, these small repeated gestures, that everything is built.

At first, however, I was like many others: I exercised to "burn calories," to achieve a goal, to change something. Then, over time, everything changed. I realized that what really kept me coming back was no longer the results, but the feeling. The feeling of being grounded and present. I started for my body, I continued for my mind. And, paradoxically, the physical results came naturally, without it being my priority.

Do you have any advice on how to establish this regularity?

“Start simple but be consistent. Ten minutes a day is better than an hour you'll never do. Choose one or more disciplines that you enjoy, and above all, be kind to yourself. Consistency comes from enjoyment, not from pressure. If you start with me, be ready :) No matter your level, I will always take you further with passion and precision.”
