In the bathroom of wellness enthusiast and naturopath, Emilie Tolla

Meet Emilie Tolla, a naturopath specializing in women's well-being and anti-inflammatory nutrition. Emilie Tolla reveals her beauty essentials and tips for taking care of yourself.

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Emilie, I'm 33 and I live in Corsica. I'm a fashion content creator on @emilie_tla and a naturopath and wellness consultant on my @wellnessculture_ account.

What inspired you to take a closer look at your well-being and naturopathy?

I've always been interested in health and nutrition, but it was really during the first confinement that something clicked, and I felt the urge to share more and more healthy recipes and health tips.

Seeing that I was getting more and more questions on the subject, I decided to train myself to strengthen my knowledge and be able to offer guidance. A few months later I decided to launch @Wellnessculture_, an account dedicated to women's well-being, to share all my recipes and advice while following my training as a naturopath.

Why did you decide to focus on anti-inflammatory food?

I started suffering from digestive problems at a very young age, but no doctor ever took me seriously. I always got the same answer: "it's all in my head". I was diagnosed with ovarian and intestinal endometriosis 2 years ago. It was then that I decided to specialize in women's health and well-being. I could see that many women were often subject to recurrent bloating without ever knowing what to do, with no real solutions on offer, or suffering from PCOS, endometriosis, PMS... I wanted to be able to relieve all these women who, like me, can live with a lot of constraints on a daily basis, to support them and reassure them.

What makes you passionate about helping people?

To be able to help them, to get feedback from all the women I see, who tell me they feel much better afterwards and quite quickly, to see how relieved they are to see that, in fact, it's not just in their heads and that there are natural solutions with my tailor-made program specific to women.

Tell us about your vision of beauty...

I like simplicity and have a very minimalist routine. I'm lucky enough not to have any skin problems, so it's not very complicated. I listen to my skin and adapt my routine according to the seasons and my skin's needs. For me, it's essential to have "good basics" with clean ingredients.

What are your favorite daily wellness rituals?

My morning rituals are the basis of my well-being. As soon as I wake up, I drink a big cup of water. Hydration is the basis of everything for me. Then I apply my Multi-Vitamin Face Mist from Sporty & Rich Beauty, which I love. I always have a savoury breakfast and then head off to the gym. It's important for me to get moving first thing in the morning to stay in shape. Massaging my face every morning is also part of my daily ritual, to stimulate blood circulation, radiance and suppleness.

What about your favourite skincare products?

My favorite year-round products in my bathroom are, for starters, the Exfoliating Powder Oh My Cream Skincare, which I've been using every night for the past 3 years, along with the Cleansing Gel Cleansing Gel . My favorite combo! I recently finished thePlumping Oil Oh My Cream Skincare, which has been my favorite oil for a very long time. I use the Lift + Depuff I love them, I can't do without them and I can clearly see a before/after effect. Then I use my Gua Sha Led from Solaris before applying the rest of my skincare products: like the Boom Boom Milk Violette_FR, which I use every day morning and evening, and my absolutely incredible eye contour, the Eye Recipe by Skin Office, not forgetting my must-have for years, the Lip Balm L:a Bruket.

How do you adapt your Wellness routine throughout the year?

I listen to my body and my cycle, that's the key and naturally I adapt my rhythm to each season.

You share a lot of recipes on your Instagram account, which is your favorite this winter season?

Right now, I'd say my very simple recipe for an anti-inflammatory autumn latte, with chicory and raw cocoa powder and cashew milk. A soft, comforting latte ideal for digestion and boosting serotonin.

What's your Wellness resolution for the New Year?

I never make resolutions, because I find that you add a kind of pressure to yourself, so I prefer to try and stay in the present moment.

Do you have any final wellness tips to share with us?

Start your day with a hydration ritual to wake up your body and boost its energy naturally. A large glass of lukewarm water as soon as you wake up to deeply hydrate, with a pinch of turmeric to stimulate digestion and support the liver, especially at the start of the year after our festive meals.
