Belly wellness expert Axelle Rogano shares her wellness rituals with us

It's a part of our body that we tend to forget, and yet it could change our well-being if we learned to listen to it. Because the New Year also means new self-care rituals, we asked belly wellness expert Axelle Rogano to share her rituals to inspire us.

What inspired you to focus your career on holistic wellness?

For as long as I can remember, I've loved taking care of the people around me. And then one day, I had to learn to take care of myself following an eating disorder. My therapy involved the body, touch and massage. It enabled me to reconnect with myself. That's how I wanted to pass on this teaching to others.

For me, holistic well-beingmeans taking an interest in the whole person, not just the body. I wanted to provide an alternative and be able to respond to certain problems as a complement to allopathic medicine. The protocols are sometimes more technical, but we look further and deeper because we understand the person as a whole, with his or her mind, heart and body.

#seo : belly

Why the belly?

I wanted to specialize in the stomach area because it's always been a problem for me since childhood. This area is far more intimate than some other parts of the body. In fact, the belly is often forgotten during a body massage, at the client's request. And yet, as it's the central part of our body envelope, omitting it is also a sign that we need to take even better care of it! In fact, no fewer than 200 million neurons are connected to the walls of our digestive tract. If our belly is suffering, it's because our whole body and mind are too. Daily life, current events, our emotions, accumulated stress, poor breathing... All these events and disorders slow down and disrupt the digestive process.

Can you tell us about your Chi Nei Tsang treatment?

Chi Nei Tsang has done me a world of good, freeing me from many physical and emotional ailments. But this treatment works in synergy with our daily hygiene and routine. The best way to look after your tummy is to adopt a healthy lifestyle, keep moving and eat a balanced diet adapted to your needs. Traditional Chinese Medicine reminds us how important it is to follow nature's cycles.

But sometimes that's not enough, and that's where massage, like Chi Nei Tsang, comes in to give the colon's motor function a boost and to facilitate transit. As our belly is considered our 2nd brain, the cradle of our emotions, it will also have a direct impact on fatigue, letting go, stress and anxiety and many other emotions. It will enable us to rebalance our nerves and emotions

Do you have any daily rituals that complement this treatment?

In winter, I eat hot and cooked foods that warming and comforting food. I also avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes at all costs, as they interfere with digestion. I also take my time when eating, listening to my hunger as much as possible without skipping meals. And of course, self-massages , which I use at any time of day, anywhere, whenever I feel the need. They're an integral part of my life. I couple these practices with peppermint essential oil when necessary or when cramps are intense. And I love making fresh ginger infusions, which I drink throughout the day or after a big meal!

What helps you feel good every day?

I attach a lot of importance to these moments of the day, especially in the evening. In the morning, I like to take my time. I wake up 2 hours before leaving. I hate running and rushing. And this allows me to get into a nice, gentle state of mind. I prepare my chicory from Cosmic Dealerand, if I feel like it, a savoury breakfast with eggs and wholemeal bread or a few homemade cookies. With a large glass of water, I take my dietary supplements, especially for the joints (harpagophytum). I listen to soft music like Sofiane Pamart as I organize my day and do some stretching. Then I do my quintet, a few positive affirmations, and the day can begin!

#seo: dry brushing

What about your evening routine?

In the evening, when I come home from a long day, I brush my body with the Dry Body Brush Oh My Cream Skincare and then take a hot shower - I hate the cold! - visualizing the accumulated energies of my day flowing away. I like to use the Gua Sha Peau d'Ange Corps Sentara Holistic on my legs to soothe them after a day on my feet massaging.

For my beauty routine, I do a double cleansing, layering, all while practicing a few facial self-massages. I also take care of my hands every week with the L:a Bruket hand ritual, which leaves my hands so soft.

Your wellness practices :

  • Practice the quintet ritual (breathing - centering - anchoring - protection - intention) and manifesting every morning, and gratitude at bedtime.

  • Listening to my massage playlists - Kundalini mantras - also nourish my soul.

  • I practice cardiac coherence whenever I feel a stress peak!

  • With my schedule, it's sometimes hard to find the time to go, but I love Pilates reformer, especially for sculpting the abdominal muscles. Otherwise, I try to walk as much as possible. The idea is to keep moving!

  • At least once a month, I treat myself to a long body massage, an acupuncture session, an energy treatment or an infrared sauna. Indispensable, especially when taking care of others

What could change our well-being?

In my opinion, sleep is our best ally. Get 8 hours of deep sleep and see how full you and your skin are when you wake up! In English, we talk about beauty sleep, and not for nothing! Breathing too. We still don't breathe properly. Stress or lack of time. Breathing is vital, of course, but just as important for the health of our organs. In the morning, take a few deep breaths and prepare yourself mentally for a good day!

Always in action, even in winter. This season is a real invitation to introspection and rest. You have to be able to ease off, take up less intense, gentler sports, take naps at weekends and go out less. It's the high point of the year for cocooning. But in today's society, we're always running, which exhausts the body and prevents it from recharging its batteries at this key time of year!

#seo : food supplement

Your favorite food supplements

I'm not personally involved yet, but I've had excellent feedback from the following supplements Équilibre Féminin MiYé for menopausal or pre-menopausal women, which perfectly regulate hormonal discomforts such as hot flushes! Personally, I'm a big fan of the Combeau brand, whose reputation is well established with L'Essentiel Peaua perfect skin supplement with zinc, vitamin C and a very interesting ingredient: SOD B from melon or red algae. Their latest innovation, Le Collagène is really catching my eye! Of course, for the digestion part, DIJO and its Indispensable Probiotic Supplement to strengthen our intestinal microbiota! I particularly recommend it at this time of year to support the body!
