Rendez-vous with Alexandre Giesbert

Hello Alexandre! What do you do for a living? 

I am a restaurant owner. With my partner Julien, we run two Italian restaurants, Daroco. We have one in the 2nd district of Paris and a second one in the 16th. We make very good pizzas... in a beautiful setting because it's even better! I love this job, no day is the same. You always have to question yourself, start from scratch... In fact, I love it when it's complicated! I'm a big fan of challenges.

What is a good beauty routine for you? 

Even if it wasn't part of my life growing up, with my job where presentation is key, I can't miss out a beauty routine! So I pay attention! The main thing is it has to be quick and effective. 

What about your skin? 

It's rather dry and sometimes even irritated. And for some time now, I’ve witnessed the appearance of wrinkles that I want to slow down. 

Your evening routine? 

Before going to bed, the first thing I do is wash my face.. Then I apply Super Rich Repair Dermalogica. Once a week (or once every 2 weeks), I apply a thick layer of the Skin Hydrating Mask Dermalogica. In the morning, my skin feels really hydrated.

And during the day? 

I apply the Rich Cream Augustinus Bader. It's my new favorite... It prevents wrinkles and reduces the ones already present.

What do you do for your body and hair? 

When I have time, I use the Body Butter Susanne Kaufmann It is very rich, very nourishing and does not stick. It's also a soothing cream that makes me feel good when I have eczema. For the hair, it is very dry and tends to frizz. This is a real issue for me! I love the Smooth Again Kevin Murphy to soften it all up. I sometimes use it in place of my shampoo or always after.
