Why Now Is the Time to Book an Hydrafacial Treatment
Sun, salt, chlorine, sweat… summer puts your skin through the wringer: a dull complexion, clogged pores, dehydration, and small spots that start to appear. The Hydrafacial is THE treatment to hit the “reset” button: in just one hour, it deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and rehydrates to erase the signs of summer and prepare your skin for the new season. Here’s everything you need to know before booking!
Hydrafacial treatment steps at Oh My Cream
Who is it designed for?
Painless and non-invasive, Hydrafacial x Dermalogica is suitable for all skin types and addresses all skin concerns, from imperfections and sensitivities to signs of aging and pigmentation spots. It also targets dilated pores, skin firmness and elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, even skin tone and more.
Why should you schedule your Hydrafacial before and after summer?
Before Summer: Laying the Groundwork
Clear skin—free of dead cells and perfectly hydrated—is skin that can better defend itself. Before sun exposure, an Hydrafacial treatmenthelps refine skin texture, unclog pores, and saturate the epidermis with active ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and antioxidants, thereby strengthening the skin barrier. The result: skin that’s more resilient to UV-induced oxidative stress, an even complexion, and better sun protection retention. Important! It’s recommended to schedule a session 10 to 15 days before your trip—never right before intense sun exposure, as the skin is temporarily more receptive after exfoliation.
After Summer: Repair and Reboot
Upon returning home, the sun, salt, and chlorine have taken their toll: a thickened stratum corneum, dehydration, emerging dark spots, and a dull complexion. Now is the perfect time for a true “reset ”: exfoliation and the infusion of active ingredients remove accumulated impurities, restore radiance, and help even out the complexion, all while preparing the skin to resume a targeted skincare routine that we often put on hold during the summer. Our advice? Start and end the season with two sessions—one for prevention, the other for repair—to help maintain balanced skin all year round.
