How to conceal dark circles?
To get rid of dark circlesUnfortunately, there's no such thing as a miracle product. However, by combining the right product with the right tool and the right gesture, you can easily improve the appearance of dark circles (and puffiness). And if dark circles are easily visible, it's simply because the eye contour is the area where the skin is thinnest, with the circulation underneath just a few millimeters away...
The appearance of dark circles is often equated with extreme fatigue. But this is far from the truth. We've come to realize that dark circles are the consequence of many other factors (including heredity). Dark circles can also be the result of a psychological state: stress or anxiety, simply our lifestyle and, of course, aging skin. As for colour skin type, it doesn't really matter: very fair skins easily have dark circles, as do dark and black skins.
What are the different types of dark circles?
There are several types of dark circlesmore or less easy to treat.
- Hollow circles: Hollow circles, as their name suggests, are circles that deepen with age. They can be caused by the melting of eyelid fat, or by aging. The dark circles and cheeks are the first areas to lose volume.
- Full circles: unlike hollow circles, full circles under the eyes reflect an accumulation of fat, sometimes combined with excess skin.
- Pigmented or brown circles: these are recognized by the appearance of pigmented spots on the lower eyelid, caused by an accumulation or high concentration of melanin.
-
Dark, blue circles: These are vascular circles, the result of a malfunction in blood and lymph circulation. This dysfunction leads to the accumulation of blood pigments under the lower eyelid, and this is when dark circles appear. Age or hormones can also be the cause. By affecting microcirculation, or even slowing it down, these factors create a breeding ground for dark circles.
