Gua Sha: why adopt it?

If there's one key accessory in recent years, it's the Gua Sha! Used in ancestral Chinese medicine, Gua Sha is a ritualistic massage which consists of massaging the skin with a small tool, originally made from cow horn. Today, the use of Gua Sha has been modernized, and this little beauty tool is recognized for its multiple benefits for both body and mind. But how does it work in practice? We explain!

What is a Gua Sha?

The use of Gua Sha is nothing new! Recognized for centuries in Asia for its many virtues, its name is a combination of the word "gua" meaning "to scrape" and "sha" meaning "disease". The movements performed with this little tool are a source of well-being, improving the immune system and blood circulation, as well as having an anti-ageing effect on the face! Gua Sha can also be used on the body, making it a multi-purpose beauty tool

What are the benefits of a Gua Sha treatment for the face and body?

Massages with a Gua Sha have many virtues. Used daily on your face and body, they offer visible effects from the very first use. Still not convinced? Here are just a few of the effects we've seen:

On the face

  • Collagen production is boosted
  • Features are smoothed and firmed for a guaranteed anti-aging effect!
  • Tensions are relieved and facial features relaxed.
  • Applied treatments are better assimilated by the skin thanks to the action of massage.

  • Smoother, firmer skin
  • The sensation of heavy legs is reduced
  • Cellulite and "orange peel" appearance are reduced

How to use Gua Sha for face & body?

Using a gua sha is a perfect addition to your beauty routine, without requiring you to spend hours in the bathroom.

Gua sha face:

After applying a skincare oil (such asPlumping Oil ), glide the gua sha over your face with gentle pressure, working from the inside out.
