Tell us all about yourself

“I’m Fanny Crawford, Head of Communications & PR at The Bristol Paris. My career has unfolded across the worlds of luxury, fashion, and hospitality, with a real soft spot for family-run establishments—those with a soul, a history, and a story to tell. And precisely that—telling these stories, bringing them to life, making them relevant today… That’s what drives me the most. And in another life, just as important (if not more so!), I’m the mom of a two-year-old boy.”

What do you like most about your job?

“To evoke emotion. To make a place shine beyond its walls. Le Bristol is an institution, but above all, it’s a living, evolving home. Imagining new experiences, championing a vision, fostering connections around a certain art of living… that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning (even after a short night’s sleep).”

Since you arrived, the hotel seems to have become a true haven of wellness. Why was that important to you?

“Today, luxury has changed. It is no longer just a place or an object; it is the time we take for ourselves. In our fast-paced lives, creating spaces to slow down, breathe, and refocus has become essential. Le Bristol had to keep pace with this evolution, offering a more comprehensive experience: a place where people come as much to recharge as to stay. Whether for visiting guests, with offerings like the Eden Suite and its private spa, or for local patrons, with an experience tailored to all ages and interests. And of course, our Wellness Sundays.”

In your opinion, what role does self-care play in the art of living?

“Self-care is part of my sense of balance. It’s a form of understated elegance, almost intimate—a way of respecting oneself. At the Bristol, this fits very naturally into the hotel’s history: taking the time, savoring the moment, reconnecting. Well-being isn’t a trend here—it’s a given. It’s also a way to open the space to a more local clientele, with exclusive treatments, a private membership, or seasonal classes designed as true moments of self-care.”

Can you tell us more about Wellness Sundays?

“We host these events four times a year, at the start of each season. The idea is to spend an hour and a half—or even a whole day—at the Bristol, focusing on well-being. We offer classes—or rather, sessions—that combine yoga, stretching, Pilates, and other self-care practices, sometimes paired with lunch or a spa treatment. The concept is simple: slow down, listen to your body, and reconnect with what truly matters. These Wellness Sundays were carefully developed over two years with Laure Dary, founder of Maison OffWellness and a former dancer, who has an incredible talent for blending disciplines and creating a true oasis of well-being.”

And you, how do you use Sundays to recharge?

“Sundays are precious. After a Saturday that’s often packed with catching up on everything we didn’t get done during the week… I try to slow down. I try to really be present with my family, get some exercise, and carve out a little time for myself, even if it’s just a short while. It’s simple, but essential for starting the week off on the right foot.”

Have you always taken care of yourself?

“Not as much as I do now. I grew up watching my mother take care of herself, but I really developed my own routines once I started working. Motherhood sped things up: it taught me to listen to myself more. Over time, I’ve come to realize that self-care isn’t a luxury… but a necessity, especially when daily life is hectic.”

What are your bathroom essentials?

“A very simple routine: cleanser, serum (the Skin Revive by Mimétique), an eye cream (the CTRL Eye Mimétique, moisturizer (I alternate between the Oh My Cream SkincareOh My Cream Skincare and the Regenerating Cream), sometimes a facial oil (the Holi(Oil) Youth SerumAgent Nateur) and body care. I prioritize quality over quantity. And above all, everything has to be quick and intuitive—I rarely spend more than five minutes in the bathroom! (Unlike my boyfriend…). Same goes for makeup—it has to be clean, quick, and effective.”

What about the ones you take with you everywhere?

“Lip balm, a toothbrush, the Fullest Volumizing Mascara by Ilia, the Reflect Highlighter by Victoria Beckham Beauty, the Bisou Blush Violette_FR a comb or the Petite Brush No. 3The Good Brush, and a facial mist. My little essentials for reconnecting with myself, even in the middle of a busy day.”

How would you describe your vision of well-being and beauty?

“For me, beauty is all about balance and listening to your body. There’s no need to stockpile products; what matters is having the right routine, one that fits your lifestyle.”

Beyond the products, how do you take care of yourself?

“Simply treating myself to flowers. It always makes me feel so good, and I love it. I also really enjoy trying out new skincare products… and I have to admit, I’m doing it more and more often. I love Stéphanie Legris’s draining body treatment, the Kobido treatment by Macha Facialiste, the facial cleansing by Jane de Busset, and for my hair, I only go to Olivier Lebrun. It’s gone from once in a while to once, or even several times a month. Along with working out, these are kind of my personal appointments—essential moments to let off steam and feel good. Next step: treating myself to a week just for me at theLily of the Valley wellness hotel Lily of the Valley on the French Riviera.”

Your "recharge" break when things start to get hectic?

“Taking a few minutes to myself, getting some fresh air… or dancing, laughing. Nothing complicated, but it makes all the difference.”

Is there a ritual or treatment you'd like to develop at the Bristol?

“I’d like to take hybrid treatments even further, at the intersection of aesthetic medicine, wellness, and advanced skincare. Today, people don’t just come in for a facial; they come to treat their skin deeply, using techniques that are effective yet always gentle and non-invasive. This blend of science and sensory experience is what fascinates me.”

Finally, is there any wellness or lifestyle tip that you follow every day?

“Listen to yourself, respect your own pace, and above all, aim for balance rather than perfection.”
