Tell us all about yourself

“My name is Lavinia Augeai, founder of Colortherapis. I design objects and spaces where colour an emotional language, intended to transform both the environment and how we feel. A place can be beautiful—or it can make you feel something. I always strive for the latter.”

Where does your passion for colour come from colour

colour always been very instinctive for me. I don’t just see it—I feel it, almost physically. It acts like a form of energy, capable of soothing or invigorating. Over time, I’ve learned to use it as a true tool for balance. colour a sensation before it is an aesthetic.”

Colortherapis was born out of a difficult period—do you see this journey as a way to take care of yourself?

“Yes, deeply. Colortherapis was born after the loss of our first child, Matisse. Creating was a way to get through that ordeal, to bring movement back where everything had come to a standstill. colour a form of breathing, an almost instinctive refuge. Over time, I realized that this project went beyond design.  colour my way of bringing life back where there was silence. Even today, every creation carries this intention: to bring a gentle, almost invisible presence into spaces.”

How has the brand evolved since its inception?

“Colortherapis has taken shape through collaborations with artisans and custom projects. But I remain very mindful of preserving its roots. The brand wasn’t born out of a market need, but out of necessity—and that’s what gives it its authenticity.”

Have you always taken care of yourself?

“Not always. For a long time, I was all about movement and intensity. Today, I’m more attuned to my own pace, my energy, and my surroundings. Balance isn’t a static state; it’s a constant adjustment.”

What are your bathroom essentials?

“I prefer simple yet highly sensory routines. I use the Mega Water Talm, Talm’s soothing water, as a way to reset during the day. And theSkin1004 Centella Ampoule from Skin1004 for its restorative and minimalist qualities. I pay close attention to textures: I choose my skincare products just as I choose my materials—based on how they make me feel.”

What are your favorite makeup products for adding colour your complexion?

“I apply colour small touches, never too much at once. I really like the RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek by RMS Beauty for its second-skin effect, and the Multi Sticks byIlia Beauty for their very diffused finish. colour enhance, never mask.”

colour still colour the same role in your inner well-being?

“Yes, but I’ve become more aware of it. These days, I choose colors the way one chooses a source of energy: some are soothing, others are stimulating. I no longer let colour dictate to me; I use it.”

What's your secret to looking radiant in just two minutes?

“Cold water, a facial massage with oil, then a touch of colour. I dab a little cream blush on my cheekbones—the effect is immediate and very vibrant. For me, the glow comes from the motion more than the product.”

How does beauty influence your work today?

“Beauty is at the heart of my work. I draw a lot of inspiration from light, skin, and textures, but also from landscapes and the very simple details of everyday life. There’s a strong parallel between applying makeup to a face and designing a space: you work with layers, nuances, and breathing room.”

Beyond beauty products, what rituals help you find your center?

“Walking, slowing down, taking time for myself. I’m a big believer in micro-rituals—simple but regular actions. Silence is an integral part of my creative process.”

What advice would you give for adding more colour your home?

“Start small. An object, a room, a colour instinctively draws you in. If a colour draws colour in, it’s because it already speaks to you.”
