Tell us all about yourself

My name is Diane Goldstein and I am the creator and founder of the brand MONOKI

Why did you decide to create Monoki?

I've always wanted to add a little extra soul to each piece I design. To make women feel what they feel: well-being, strength, vitality, and to make them feel the energy of the mantra that helps me create: "Everything is possible, and life has more imagination than we do." When I started MONOKI, which is an anagram of KIMONO, I had all my kimono jackets blessed by a shaman.

Tell us about your vision of beauty

For me, beauty is on the same level as well-being, and vice versa. Working on skincare is even more important than make-up. I've always been very attentive to skin care, and I've been having treatments with practitioners since I was 18-19. I love it, it's always been part of my beauty routine, but at the same time, it 's a beauty that I link a lot to care and health. For me, beauty is beautiful skin, beautiful hair and clean teeth. It's as important as that. It's like a foundation, a backbone, the architecture of our body and face that makes itself felt. There's nothing sexier than skin that ages well. What I want is to age, but to age in a pretty way, while remaining sensual, with lots and lots of light.

Why was it important for you to infuse Monoki with this sense of well-being?

This spiritual dimension is what makes it a brand that wants to do good and bring something to women, like a 4th or 5th dimension. It's the dimension of sensation and well-being. For me, care and beauty care are as important in my creations as they are in the vocabulary I share. For example, the grigris necklaces will bring you energy, and our healing rings... Everything revolves around healing the soul and well-being. The clothes are infused with kindness, happiness and energy.

Where does your passion for holistic spirituality come from?

I have studied astrology and I am a fortune teller. I've always wanted to bring answers and knowledge to others. Bringing good is necessarily something that mirrors what we feel and that will also bring us good. Living collectively in a community means thinking of others, which is very important. In a way, it's also a way of giving back luck and happiness.

What are your holistic rituals for taking care of yourself on a daily basis?

In the morning, it's a must, so I put some jelly spoons in my fridge that I like to run over my face with a little serum. It relaxes, tones and I feel it gives my face a little boost.

I am also a devotee of Gua Shabut this is more for the evening, and I always use it with a little serum. It's great.

What are your bathroom essentials?

I'm a fan of double cleaning. I love to remove my make-up twice, firstly because I'm working on my skin, and it's important to feel your face. I start with an oil that transforms into a light, milky foam. My aim is not to strip my skin, but I do want to cleanse it in two stages. I love to alternate skincare products and brands; I'll never use the same brand for three months in a row, it's important to alternate so that my skin doesn't get used to it. I'm a fan of Tata Harper, IliaI'm also a fan of Susanne Kaufmannwhich really offers a wide range and choice that you can really find yourself in, and I love the Superkind Tata Harper range for sensitive skin, because as we age, we sometimes become a little more sensitive. I also really like this brand Mimétique, which offers a rather small but highly functional range.

In general, my evening routine is: make-up removal, tonic. Then, I'm a fan of the essential layering, which consists of adding several layers of serum. I use two different ones, always with ahyaluronic acid. I follow this up with a light cream, and finish off in the evening, especially at the moment in winter, with a creamy, fairly deep cream that I can massage in. I like to finish off with a few facial massages. And of course, for the last 6-8 months, I've been installing two machines: an LED and the Laser LYMA. I also love to spray several times with eau de soins, also known as essences. I'm a fan because you can add them several times a day, and that's great.

You're a fan of the Lyma laser. How has it transformed your skin?

And yes, a great love affair with the LYMA ! I was reluctant at first, and it took me a long time to buy it. But when I took the plunge, I loved it. I started by doing two sessions a week in the evening while watching TV. Today, whenever I'm not going out and have time at home, I try to do a LYMA session, at least every other day. It's a real pleasure, and the results are extraordinary. After the first two or three sessions, the skin is regenerated, toned and, above all, plumped up. I love doing it in front of the TV, it's a real moment of relaxation.

What's your wellness resolution for this year?

The absolute wellness resolution is morning meditation. Above all, don't touch the phone, sit down and breathe while meditating. The best anti-aging and health remedy.

Any final wellness tips to share?

My favourite wellness tip: always go out on your face with an SPFin both summer and winter. And drink as much warm water as possible.
