In my opinion, beauty, like clothes, may seem extremely trivial, but it's not at all. It says a lot about how you want to present yourself to the world.
Hello Jessica, what do you do for a living?
My name is Jessica Troisfontaine, I'm 30 and I'm the founder of Septem. Septem is a ready-to-wear brand and an inspirational medium, both of which aim to help women take power over their lives, whatever that means for each of them. The expression may sound funny, but the idea, is that when you offer women clothes in which they feel strong and beautiful, and at the same time provide them with quality content and inspiring examples of their journey, you're really helping to boost their self-confidence.
How would you describe your skin?
I have normal skin. I'm looking for a fairly simple, quick evening routine to bring radiance and comfort to my skin.
What's your vision of beauty?
I've only recently become interested in beauty. Until then, I thought it was something secondary, even futile. All I cared about was working as hard as I could to keep my business going. Then I realized that your brain can't function properly and your mind can't be healthy if you don't take care of yourself and your body.
What are your morning beauty routines?
I use the lotion Moisturizing Floral Essence Tata Harper which I particularly like because it makes the skin really soft. Then I apply an eye contour cream Indie Lee which I also apply in the evening. It's very pleasant because of its nourishing texture.
And in the evening?
Until recently, I used a cotton pad and micellar water to remove my makeup at night... I learned that this wasn't very good, so I switched to double cleansing with theCleansing Oil Oh My Cream Skincare and the Softening Cleanser Tata Harper which is a brand I love. Finally, I use the'Anti-Imperfectio Facial Oilns Lapis d'Herbivore Botanicals, which was recently recommended to me. Before that, I used a classic night cream.
Any advice you'd like to share?
We tend to think that putting oil on our skin will create even more oil, but the opposite is true. As soon as the skin receives oil, it tends to produce less of it.
A little beauty pleasure?
When I really want to take time for myself, I use this scrub Herbivore Botanicals because it smells amazing. It's got amethyst and it's great because it doesn't irritate the skin and leaves it ultra-moisturized.
