What beauty routine for my teenager?

No more baby skin! While some teenagers are rather spared from pimples, others are unfortunately less so... This is mainly due to hormonal variations which, at the time of puberty, stimulate our teens' skin a little too much. To help them get through this period in style, here are 3 routines adapted to their skin types.

My teenager has a few spots

Nothing too serious: a pimple here or there, maybe a few blackheads on the nose and a slightly shiny T-zone... Nothing to be alarmed about. But you might as well get the situation under control, with the help of a gentle, rebalancing routine.

Cleanse
Every evening, cleanse thoroughly, then follow up with a purifying cleanser gentle enough to promote healthy skin.

Exfoliate
Once or twice a week on clean skin, exfoliate to unclog pores and gently prevent blackheads and pimples. Avoid grainy exfoliants, which may be more aggressive than beneficial...

Moisturize
What's the point? Take advantage of moisturizing cream to regulate sebum production and avoid residual traces left by poorly-treated pimples.

Treat
Every day, apply a small amount of this cream locally to the pimples only, or to the affected areas as soon as you feel a pimple appearing.

My teen has many imperfections

Painful, raised red pimples, microcysts, blackheads... Red alert! Visit a dermatologist who can help your teenager. * At the same time, you can put in place an appropriate routine to better control imperfections and accelerate healing. You'll also need to keep exposure to the sun to a minimum, and always use a high level of sun protection.

* Caution: If your teenager is taking a topical or oral treatment prescribed by a doctor, always mention what he/she is using, so as not to sensitize the skin. Indeed, most medications are already treating and often exfoliating. Some products could therefore be duplicating their purpose (pay particular attention to serums, masks and local care products).

Cleanse
Every evening, carefully remove make-up and follow with a charcoal-based cleanser to treat imperfections at this stage and provide a real sensation of freshness. The cleanser can also be used in the morning.

Exfoliate
No more than 2 or 3 times a week on cleansed skin, follow with this cult powder exfoliant based on salicylic acid, an active ingredient of choice for purifying, smoothing and even-toned skin.

Moisturize
Moisturize morning and night to help heal imperfections, while rebalancing and matifying the skin.

Treat
In the morning and evening, apply a gentle treatment serum (pimples are still inflammations, so aggressing the skin would be counter-productive), to help pimples disappear, soothe irritated skin and regulate skin tone.

What if my teen doesn't have pimples?

That's all well and good, but if your teenager uses make-up, it's important to teach her right away how to remove it effectively and with respect for her skin, so as to establish good habits (every night ;-) ). You should also encourage him to clean his brushes regularly.

Cleansing
For girls, every evening we remove our make-up with the gel, then follow with a basic cleansing gel to unclog pores and restore fresh skin. You can also use the gel cleanser in the morning.

Exfoliate
Exfoliate once or twice a week maximum, on clean skin, to give pimples no chance and keep skin radiant.

Moisturize
Morning and night, keep it simple with this cream that moisturizes and protects without suffocating or shine, for soft, plump skin.
