#seo: dry winter skin

Dry skin and discomfort: the factors involved

On the body (as on the face), dry skin dry skin is skin that functions as if in slow motion, not producing enough of the fatty substances it needs to remain comfortable and supple. Its hydrolipidic film is either non-existent or altered by the use of unsuitable cosmetics, climatic variations, hormonal upheavals or certain medications. Genetic predisposition can also affect the skin's level of hydration or ongoing dryness.

Exposed in this way, this type of skin can easily become dehydrated, because without its protective lipid shield, the skin can no longer retain water. Dry skin can also tend to thicken, as a way of protecting itself. Finally, this type of skin is often accompanied by hypersensitivity, resulting initchy skin, irritated areas, erythema and small scales.

To Know

This discomfort can also arise more sporadically. Most people will notice pulling sensations on their skin at certain times:

- At bedtime: a shower or bath that's too hot is to be avoided, as heat dissolves the skin's protective lipids. Similarly, an aggressive shower gel rich in detergents should be eliminated from the bathroom.

- After the pool: chlorine is highly irritating. So be sure to rinse off after each session of laps. Note that for indoor sports enthusiasts, perspiration can also have a drying and potentially irritating effect.

- During pregnancy: the skin stretches and can therefore itch on the stomach and chest in particular.

- During menstruation: estrogen production is at its lowest, so skin may be drier.

- During medical treatment : certain heavy protocols (such as chemotherapy) alter the structure of skin lipids and can accentuate skin problems (even after a period of remission). Skin can also become more sensitive, as certain medical treatments upset the skin's immune system.

#seo: oh my cream skincare shower gel

To complete your "dry skin" panoply, consider changing your shower gel to a gentler formula:

  • Cleansing Gel Oh My Cream Skincare : a creamy gel with a generous lather that cleanses without drying the skin, leaving it soft and comfortable. The ideal ally for sensitive, dry skin.
  • Hand & Body Wash Sage Rosemary Lavender 094 L:a Bruket : with its relaxing aromatic fragrance, this cleansing gel leaves the skin as soothed as the mind. A real delight for gentle cleansing and perfectly moisturized skin.

Extra gestures for soft skin all winter long

  • Avoid baths or showers over 38°C: it's sometimes tempting when temperatures are dropping, but taking boiling baths or showers that are too hot can dry out the skin and create that itchy, stinging sensation.
  • Remember to exfoliate: buried under several layers of clothing in winter, skin needs to be exfoliated to breathe and regain its softness. Arm yourself with
Coco Rose Exfoliating Body Scrub Herbivore, an indulgent, gentle and nourishing body scrub with coconut oil and Moroccan rose, which leaves skin soft and nourished. Used 1 or 2 times a week, it eliminates dead cells and boosts the effectiveness of your moisturizer.
  • Treat yourself to an oil bath : because in winter, we're all the more keen on cocooning and comforting rituals, we slip in a few drops of the Mountain Pine Bath Oil Susanne Kaufmann. This bath oil nourishes the skin while soothing muscular tension, and stimulates blood circulation for a relaxed body and mind.
