We tested it for you... the Jet Peel, the ultimate anti-ageing facial treatment
A genuine alternative to injections, Jet Peel is the facial treatment of the moment, offering skin radiance and hydration, while boosting collagen and elastin production for effective anti-aging action! Ellie pushed open the door of Le Petit Med Spa for a session of this treatment, which propels air (and active ingredients, of course) into the heart of the skin for stunning results!
What is the Jet Peel facial treatment?
Jet Peel is THE treatment better-aging treatment par excellence (and a perfect alternative to injections). This 100% natural technology technology propels air at supersonic speed-yes, you read that right-in the form of a jet. In this way, the various skin care products and active ingredients, in very fine droplets, are propelled at high speed through the epidermis.
Initially, the jet allows for lymphatic drainage followed by exfoliation skin exfoliation and peeling that are far more advanced than with manual techniques. And last but not least, an infusion of hyaluronic acid, peptides and vitamins (without needles or injections!) penetrates deep into the skin to reveal its full potential.
The expected benefits of Jet Peel?
- Improved skin texture and that famous post-care glow we love.
- Intense hydration and stimulation of collagen and elastin production
- Reduces wrinkles and helps maintain skin volume
- Correction of pigment irregularities (pigment spots, melasma) as well as acne and residual marks
- And a clear reduction in signs of fatigue (goodbye dark circles and puffiness under the eyes).
Dangers and contraindications of Jet Peel
As a non-invasive treatment, Jeet Peel presents no danger or inconvenience to the skin. However, there are a few contraindications. The skin must not show any signs of eczema, sores, irritation or sunburn, UV sessions are not recommended at least 1 week before the treatment, and sun exposure should be avoided the week following the Jet Peel treatment.
Jet Peel or HydraFacial?
Jet Peel and HydraFacial work in much the same way. In fact, both facials remove impurities while nourishing the skin. However, the Jet Peel gently exfoliates the skin, cleansing and moisturizing it to remove impurities while delivering nutrients and active ingredients to the skin. HydraFacial, on the other hand, gently smoothes the skin by temporarily opening the pores to cleanse, exfoliate and extract impurities, while providing the skin with the nutrients it needs for long-term hydration and protection.
How does a Jet Peel session work?
1. First step: make-up removal! To help your skin absorb the skincare products that follow, you first need to remove the make-up, impurities and excess sebum that have built up over the course of the day.
2. Next, we move on to lymphatic drainage. As with the Korean lift, it's always surprising to imagine skin drainage without direct contact with the skin. However, as soon as the jet begins its work, it's clear that the gestures of the expert who accompanies it are similar to those you might receive during a classic drainage treatment. During this step, designed toeliminate toxins and activate microcirculation, detox water is propelled through the skin.
3. Once the skin has been thoroughly detoxified, it's time to move on to exfoliation and peeling. Several solutions are possible, depending on the objectives of the session and the sensitivity of the skin, as this treatment is hyper-customizable. This exfoliation stage is essential before moving on to the next, as it eliminates even encrusted dead cells and debris, enabling deeper penetration of active ingredients.
4. Last step: infusion of active ingredients. And the word "infusion" is aptly chosen: it's off to the bath of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and other active ingredients in the fine droplets, which penetrate deep into the epidermis. In Ellie's case, the expert works in particular on the eye contour and the oval of the face, to erase in no time my short nights and the slackening of the skin in the lower part of the face.
At the end of these steps, it is possible to add boosters (anti-imperfections, anti-aging or antioxidant), to maximize the effectiveness of the treatment and treat certain skin problems in particular!
Our opinion on the Jet Peel treatment at Petit Med Spa in Paris
On the painless aspect : no pain at all, despite the speed of the jet's propulsion, and on the contrary, I find myself loving the coolness of these fine droplets that penetrate deep into the skin.
Effectiveness: even though we recommend a course of 4 to 6 Jet Peel sessions, results can be seen right from the first session. In my case, my skin is smoother, plumper AND soothed. The oval of my face is more defined, with a special mention for my eye contour (it looks like I've finally caught up on my sleep!). I've opted for a course of 2 sessions 7 days apart, followed by one appointment a month to maintain this glow and toned skin - which I'll find hard to do without.
Universal and customizable: whatever the problem, the jet peel offers stunning results, and the expert performs a skin diagnosis to target the skin's needs and the results expected by the customer.
Frequency and rates
A Jet Peel session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. It costs €170 for a session, and €75 for boosters. For full details, visit Le Petit Med Spa.
