We tested for you... Lipocavitation to sculpt your figure using ultrasound power
Feeling good about your body no matter the month of the year sometimes means looking for new ways to care for it. This involves diet, exercise, wellness rituals, and more targeted solutions like lipocavitation. This non-invasive aesthetic medicine technique can reduce localized, often stubborn fat, restoring a feeling of lightness and balance in your body. How does it work? What results can you expect? We'll tell you everything!
How exactly does it work?
To understand how lipocavitation works, you must first understand the principle of cavitation . Cavitation is a physical phenomenon that corresponds to the formation of microbubbles of gas in a liquid, caused by sudden variations in pressure. Lipocavitation works in the same way thanks to a device emitting waves whose frequency is between 38 kHz and 42 kHz . The emitted waves generate small air bubbles inside the body which end up bursting when faced with the force of the ultrasound, causing the dispersion of fat cells. This leads to the destruction of the wall of the cells that store fat, which are sometimes resistant in the body ( adipocytes ). Once released and free in the body, the adipocytes are metabolized by the liver before being eliminated by natural means.
How does a Lipocavitation session take place?
Before any lipocavitation treatment, an initial diagnosis is performed to determine the expected results and assess the area of fat to be treated. The treatment then begins with the application of a conductive gel to the targeted area, followed by a massage of the area using an ultrasound probe using circular or smoothing movements.
The session lasts between 20 and 45 minutes depending on the targeted area. The treatment is completely painless, you can feel a gentle heat and a slight crackling in the ear. It is recommended to carry out 5 to 12 sessions , spaced 1 week apart. Before and after the session, it is recommended to hydrate well and move to stimulate lymphatic circulation.
This technique can be used on different parts of the body such as:
-
The belly
-
The thighs
-
The buttocks
-
The hips
-
The knees
-
The back
-
The arms
Linda's tips for looking good
- Adopt a balanced lifestyle over the long term : “The goal is to find a regular balance that is good for the body and mind. Treatments like lipocavitation can “empty” fat cells, but they don’t disappear. An unbalanced diet or one that’s too rich for your body and its needs can replenish them. Exercise is also a valuable ally.”
-
Drink enough water every day : “ Good hydration is essential to help the body eliminate and function optimally, especially after treatment .”
-
Move as soon as possible, at your own pace : “ When I talk about moving, I'm not talking about sport but simply about walking, moving and prioritizing the use of your legs .”
-
Detaching yourself from the number on the scale : “ Being comfortable with your figure means first of all feeling aligned with yourself. Weight is just one indicator among others: 67 kg will not have the same impact on a person who is 1.50 m tall as on a person who is 1.80 m tall. What matters is the feeling, not just the numbers .”
-
Treat yourself to treatments that feel good : “ Yes, it’s expensive, but if it makes you feel good, it can be a real boost, both physically and mentally. Lymphatic drainage is an ideal complementary treatment for detoxifying and promoting the elimination of fat by stimulating circulation. ”
