Le Carnet d'Adresses Wellness by Jade Simon, Lifestyle Journalist for Vogue

Her pen takes us on a journey to the best addresses in the four corners of the world: from Michelin-starred restaurants where you can treat yourself, to places you'd like to keep secret, where you can relax, bask in the sun or simply do yourself good. She's one of those "art de vivre" experts we follow with our eyes closed. So who better than Jade Simon to share her best addresses with us.

Tell us all about yourself

"My name is Jade Simon, I'm a journalist and I've been working for Vogue France for 12 years. I developed the editorial line for Vogue.fr and I write for the magazine and the website, focusing on everything to do with lifestyle. It's a bit of a generic term, but above all it brings together many different spheres. After all, it's about places and experiences, be they creative, culinary, artistic, social or focused on well-being."

What you like best about your job

"I'm curious by nature and my job allows me to meet different people every day: fashion designers, artists, wellness specialists, intellectuals, chefs, visionaries... And above all to travel the world, confronting myself with different points of view, thought-provoking concepts and ideas. It nourishes me in every sense of the word. It opens up my thinking and I often go to bed feeling 'a little less stupid'."

Your favorite Oh My Cream address

"The boutique on rue Saintonge. I'm lucky enough to live in the same neighborhood and often go there at weekends after lunch with friends. You can find everything there. For the face, I like the Hyaluronic Serum Hydrating Serum Dr Barbara Sturm and The Elixir Augustinus Bader, as well as the Eye Patches. I've also discovered Korean masks like those from Torriden or Biodance. Perfect for wearing on a Sunday while watching a film. For hair, I particularly like the Aloe Vera Hydrating Melting Mask Christophe Robin, which nourishes hair without disturbing its natural waves. Otherwise, I love the Enzyme Exfoliator Gommage aux Enzymes Susanne Kaufmann. I was lucky enough to visit her spa in Austria one summer. It was like being in The Sound of Music, surrounded by lush green mountains, the air smelling of fresh grass. They used to give me footbaths before going to bed, and I've come to associate this product with nature and this moment. It comforts me when I use it."

A place to do your body good

"The first thing that comes to mind to "do my body good" is to make it strong by doing sport (doubled by the good mood it brings with the dopamine discharges). In Paris, I find it complicated to find good gyms or follow fixed class slots as my schedule changes a lot. But I love doing yoga at home with the Tatiana et Alex website. They're a couple of yogis with a rather physical and active approach to vinyasa. And they give off good, sincere energy themselves. Which is essential in my opinion, because there's nothing more unpleasant than an aggressive teacher or one who gives the impression that their spirituality is just a facade."

"Otherwise doing pilates reformer like at Reformation in the swamp is always fun. After that, if we're talking about outward appearance, even though I love the idea of new generations building and accepting their hair perfectly, I have to admit that I'm unfortunately not there yet. But so as not to feel trapped by it, I've made my life a whole lot easier by getting a laser treatment at French Touch. I talk to the founder, Lili, who is as talented as she is caring, and I come away feeling better in body and relieved of a huge mental burden. Otherwise, to relax, I'm partial to shiatsu massageswhich awaken the meridians, making physical and cerebral connections. To be done at Maison Suisen for an immersion in a little Japanese cocoon. Or bring in Setsuko Oshima , a pro in her field. Alternatively, Fernando (07 60 89 88 44), a masseur with a wealth of knowledge, sometimes comes to my home with his table and his brilliant Indian playlists. "

An address for a facial treatment

"I was quite taken with Ruth Niddam's very personal technique. She has a small practice a stone's throw from the Bristol Paris (which also offers some excellent treatments by La Mer) and combines kobidointra-oral massage, draining techniques... The results are immediate and quite stunning. Alternatively, Carita' s treatments combine radiofrequency, innovative products and deep massage. The result is a soothed, revitalized complexion. Other options include the spa at Le Meurice, which uses Valmont treatments, and which I find extremely effective, or the spa Dior du Cheval Blanc , where the team is adorable, and where you can admire the Seine with a new glow afterwards."

A wellness expert you can trust to get you back on your feet

"When I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, I like to do hypnosis with Anthony Laroche (expert in Ericksonian hypnosis, NLP and hypno-coaching). It often makes those who don't know it smile, but on the principle that 90% of our functioning comes from unconscious reflexes, it has its advantages to shake them up or question them. I find a great deal of serenity and calm (even if the first few sessions can stir up painful feelings). But if the problem is deeper or recurring, I still encourage you to see a shrink. I love that Paris and the world are opening up to innovative holistic practices, but the key to our inner well-being lies within ourselves. I'm a great believer in analysis and the importance of getting to know ourselves better as an act of self-love."

A "reset" activity to make you feel good

"I realign myself and feel good immediately when I put my phone down. I go and buy books at Delamain, which has a great selection and which I then read in the quiet (if possible in the sun). I go for a coffee at the Mini Café downstairs or at Artesano, which I drink by the water. I like to go to museums at night, to admire works of art without the crowds: Thursdays at Beaubourg and the Musée d'Orsay, or Fridays at the Louvre before dinner. You can also go to the movies (MK2 Beaubourg, Les Halles or Odéon). I don't mind doing it alone, I get emotional very quickly and it's one of the last places where you can concentrate for an hour or two without mechanically pulling out your IPhone."

A place to escape for a day

"I'm lucky enough to travel a lot, but as a result, I don't have many recurrences and when I come back I tend to enjoy Paris. Not to mention that I don't drive! After Versailles, especially in summer, it's always nice. At weekends, you can go to the market before having a picnic in the garden and going for a boat ride (there's also a little guinguette if you prefer to sit and eat). Alternatively, lunch at Le Doyenne restaurant and a slightly tipsy Uber on the way back is a great way to get away from it all."

A destination to devote yourself to your well-being

"It's hard to choose just one. My favorite is definitely Thailand. I absolutely loved going to Kamalaya on the island of Koh Samui. In the place of an ancient Buddhist monastery, you can do yoga, Thai massages, meditation... Facing a pretty cove and surrounded by a very caring team. Similar but different, Chiva Som in Hua Hin is the country's first wellness address. Decorated by Ed Tuttle in the style of a Zen pavilion, the place offers access to a host of protocols and activities at the crossroads of East and West: watsu, abdominal acupuncture, oxygen chamber, shiatsu... I went alone to these two addresses and came back soothed, in great physical shape and with a comforting mental clarity. After that, if you prefer a more medical approach, the SHA in Cancun or Alicante is pretty much unbeatable. In my opinion, it's the most innovative venue, giving access to so many 360-degree specialists and high-tech machines all in one place."

A place to make your stomach feel good and eat very well

"You have to go for Japanese cuisine (which I love) that's both delicious and light. I love lunch at OGATA. They serve a bento that's as beautiful as it is good, it's quiet and feels like a moment out of time. Lately, I've been loving Le Petit Bal Perdu. Their terrace is like being suspended in the trees, and the à l'ardoise menu celebrates French cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. They're adorable and it touches on childhood recipes for me. "

A place to recharge your batteries and activate do-not-disturb mode

"If I want to be alone, I stay at home and take a hot bath while listening to a podcast like Affaires Sensibles or Le Masque et la plume. After that, I find it's not so much where I go but with whom. We live in a world where we look at each other a lot, when it's precisely the moments of connection with others that do us good. Being spontaneous by not planning a weekend with my boyfriend, laughing with my friends, dancing... Making love works too."

A place to spend your summer

"I'm not very well organized this year. But I'm going to go to Cadaques and maybe a bit to Puglia."
